September 11 Commemorative Event 2012

The Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno and Interfaith Alliance Central California are co-sponsoring the 2012 September 11 Commemorative Event, a panel discussion moderated by Jim Grant, of KNXT.  The event will be held on Monday, September 10 at 6pm, hosted at ICCF (2111 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720).

The panelists include:

INTERFAITH CANDLE LIGHT PEACE PRAYER VIGIL Aug. 10, 2012

In collaboration with Local Sikh Leaders and Organizations, a Peace Prayer Vigil will be held on August 10, from 7 – 9 pm at City Hall in Fresno.  Please join us in solidarity with our Sikh brothers and sisters to pay our respect to the victims of this horrible act of senseless violence and hate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Please post and share this information with members of your congregations and friends.  We look forward to seeing you at the vigil.  Peace.

September 11 Commemorative Events

September 11 Commemoration Service
Islamic Cultural Center – September 10, 2011    6:00 pm
ICCF and IACC are marking the 10th anniversary of the attacks with a call for peace and justice and a solemn commemoration of the lives lost on that day and later as a result of the attacks.  Officials from local government and religious entities will be invited to attend and a local family who lost a loved one in one of the planes that hit the towers will give testimony.  Reading from the Qur’an will be offered and the event will conclude with children freeing white doves as a symbol of our future in a world of peace.

The Interfaith Alliance of Central California presents this all-inclusive event annually as a celebration of the religious freedom and abundance with which our nation is blessed. Included will be music and inspiration from many of the faith traditions represented in our greater Fresno community. Everyone is welcome.  An offering will be taken for Community Food Bank. Please bring fruit or sweets for the after-service social hour.
